Apparel giants Nike and Inter continue a partnership that has endured 16 years for at least 5 more years until 2018. The extension comes with an increase of sponsorship of €18.1 million per season, making Inter the league leaders in the category.
If this team is going to have any hope of rising to the revenue level with the German, Spanish and English Jones's, this is a good start. Inter's previous Nike deal went for something like €12 million per season so the increase isn't insignificant. Inter, and all Italian teams really, are still far behind the other leagues in other countries in matchday revenue.
