First of I would like to introduce myself.I will go about with the name aakc I am new here but not to inter. Having been an avid inter supporter ever since I actually understood what football was, I have followed as a proud Nerazzurro for all my life. When I first went to the Stadium in 03 aged only 6 I saw inter win 3-0 against Ancona. I fell in love. I was told there would be many years of suffering but alas what followed was year upon year of success. Now we are here. You all know what happened from 05-13. Which brings me to my first point.
7-0. wow. That was amazing, excellent fantastic. This current run of form brings back memories. You don't have to go far to see an Inter team who was cruising, achieving great results, with confidence at an all time high. In fact we are at this stage last year we were about to embark on on a record 10 win game ending at the pinnacle with the 3-1 victory over Juventus that we all remember so fondly. Then we tumbled. It wasn't pretty and to be honest at some stages it felt like it didn't end. Do not get me wrong tough. I am not here to criticize Stramas work. Not at all. But i am slightly worried, I am not questioning at all the ability of our current crop of players or their great results which I am proud to see every time. But what I don't want to see is a repeat of last year.
This is where Mazzarri comes in. He has brought a discipline to the club I haven't seen in a long time. Ricky seems to grow every game (he was my undisputed Man of the match for me). Jonathon and Nagatomo have never been so effective in their lives. The sheer Euphoria i had seeing Milito back yet alone score was incredible. Mazzarri I think is our greatest hope we've had in years. An experienced coach who is leading Inter in the right path and yet remains grounded. After today's 7-0 thrashing his words were not of how good we were, but of how inter will continue to look to improve. This exactly what we need in a time like this. If we win he will continue to remain grounded but if we lose we don't lose our heads completely.
For me Mazzarri is the man to lead us forward. I know this probably been said hundreds of times about different coaches but he has the right mentality to take us forward, What's more his discipline is rubbing off on the players. Today we were ruthless. We attacked pressed and didn't give them time. This wasn't Juventus, Milan or Napoli but Sassuolo. A team who hadn't picked up point yet (and still hasn't). what normally would have happened is that we would have lost concentration not worked as hard and been content winning it 2-0 3-0 3-1 while having played nowhere near our potential. Mazzarri instead ordered the boys to press press press. Work hard. don't let up. look what happened. the biggest win we have had in years. In fact the last tine we won by this much was before i was born.
So hats off Mazzarri you have got Inter playing as Inter. But this can't stop now. It doesn't matter if its Sassuolo, Verona, Juventus or Fiorentina (our next opposition). We ned to keep this up. And so i hope today's performance becomes the norm. Not the scoreline. It can 1-0 for all I care but the hard work and discipline must continue.
Kudos Mazzarri, you're doing great. Let's make sure its only the beggining. Forza Inter continua cosi
Hope you enjoyed my first ever post. please tell me what you think and how I can improve. Thanks :)
