Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia is reportedly very close to joining Bologna during the January transfer window, writes Forza Italian Football.
The ex-captain of the Nerazzurri hasn't been a favorite of manager Roberto Mancini so far this season, and with the back line humming along in its current state, there isn't much need for Rano. He has dropped pretty far down the depth chart, behind both Juan Jesus and Martin Montoya according to most views.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter and Bologna have already reached an agreement on terms for the 27-year-old defender and are only waiting for Ranocchia himself to agree to the move.
There have been (and still are) rumblings of Rano heading to either a Premier League or La Liga side, so the Italian international may take some time to weigh his options and negotiate subsequent offers if he desires a move away from the Serie A.
