Adriano Makes A Scary Cake and Other Spurious Gossip
By: Johonna | February 17th, 2009
Yep, F.C. Internazionale is a huge, multimillion euro company and this is the cake they got for Adriano’s 27th birthday? I dont know what is more shocking – the shabbiness of the cake, or that they got that thing in Italy. One would never guess a cake like that could be had in a country known for its cuisine. If someone had asked me, I would say that cake had come from Walmart. Even funnier, it looks like someone noticed how bad it was and tried to cover it with frosting. Too bad they only managed to cover a bit of the writing. I wonder who got had to eat his face (chock full of food-colory goodness!).
In other, non-cake related news, Adriano will not be suspended after the possible handling incident during Sunday’s derby. Sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel said:
“The images on video don’t clarify whether the player intentionally used his arm to score. The referee’s view that the gesture was involuntary cannot be overturned beyond any reasonable doubt.”
To tell you the truth, I dont know enough about the actual rules of the game to judge whether Adriano committed an offense during the Derby that should warrant a suspension or not. I will say that I was looking forward to a nice 2-match ban for him. That way he would be fresh and chipper for the Champions League games coming up. Oh well.
In one last little bit of Derby news, at Striscia la Notizia gave Ancelotti and the squad at AC Milan golden Tapirs to help them feel better after their derby defeat. Ancelotti is quite funny, asking if Rosetti will be getting one too. Beckham is confused, and Ronaldinho doesn’t really seem to understand Italian.
Enjoy:
I am just glad it is not Inter getting them for once. It is sort of strange seeing people like Pirlo and Ambrosini just in normal street clothes – they seem like much nicer people when they are in their skives.
Now I think we can safely move on from the Derby, yes? Yes.
MOVING ON

Between modeling sessions, Inter’s Primavera squad beat Vicenza 3-1 and will continue on to the quarterfinals where we will face Maccabi Haifa from Israel. The three other match-ups in the quarter finals are Torino-Reggina, Juve-Siena, and Sampdoria-Palermo.
Good job boys, and lookin’ good. In case you are wondering, that is (from left to right) Andrea Mei, Rene Khrin, Alberto Gerbo, and Aiman Napoli.
TORRID GOSSIP
Apparently ex Veline and wannabe WAG Elisabetta Canalis has caught the eye of both Maicon and Balotelli.
Remember when Balotelli was late for the U21 training because he had been up late the night before partying at the nightclubs along Corso Como in Milan? Well he was with Canalis at a birthday party for Super-WAG (and also ex-Veline) Melissa Satta. For reference, Melissa Satta has just broken up with our old friend Bobo Vieri (well, technically, he is just about everyone’s friend). It is rumored that while clubbing with the buxom Ms. Canalis, Mario was also making eyes at Melissa Satta which may prove problematic because Maicon was chatting her up as well.
Or so the story goes. Man, you would think there was an ex-showgirl shortage in Milan… Are there really not enough to go around? Maicon, time for you to settle down. Take a page from your compatriot Julio Cesar: get married and have a kid or two. Mario, stay away from those dirty girls!
Well, that is about it. Soon we will turn our minds to Bologna. I think the wards are empty so we may see a slightly different squad take the field… Maybe even Toldo!
FORZA INTER
I leave you with Elisabetta Canalis (who got a little cold and needed a sweater)…

and Melissa Satta (who has forgotten almost all here clothes)…

Wow, those are some skanky lookin, airbrushed up the yin yang chickies.
Hope the boys are smart enough to go two-ply!
Anyhoo, rumor has it that Chivu and Burdisso are suspended from the Bologna game due to accumulation of yellow cards. Might we get a visit from the Matrix to keep our defense rested for Man U on the mid-week (see, this is why I hate CL, we need to focus on #17 dammit)?
And a random pic that I found lookin for something else, but I really like.

Alessio, also note how they came to Ancelotti and at his work, not at his home like they tried with Mourinho.
Dave, well I suggest you march down to walmart (or any grocery store bakery) with a picture of yourself and buy yourself a face-cake! And if Maicon is married, why on earth is he out clubbing with Mario and chatting up showgirls?

From the know your enemy department:
Just watched the Bremen Milan game. No surprise that Milan died in the last ten minutes of the game and Bremen equalized late. In fact, Milan almost own-goaled themselves a loss by the width of a goal post. Bremen counter attacking the weak Milan defense and exploiting the inability of the midfield to take pressure off that weak defense had some nice chances.
Kinda like we did… and Arsenal did… and Juventus did…
People wrongly say that we are dependent on Ibra. But look at how dependent Milan has been on Kaka – they have really struggled without him.
Hmm, I hope they don’t catch on the fact that the one player on their squad who is in his prime is their best player.

I wonder if they are worried about these stats:
………………..Werder Bremen……AC Milan
Shots (on Goal)……….23(10)………..7(5)
Time of Possession…….51%……………49%Almost equal possession but a third less shots – although Milan’s ratio of shots to on-target shots is better…

“And if Maicon is married, why on earth is he out clubbing with Mario and chatting up showgirls?”
Yeah… Johonna, you must be the most innocent person on the planet, otherwise an answer kinda presents itself. That’s a compliment.
Okay on to the weird rumor department:
There’s a rumor that we tried to get Milito this past January by permanently sending over Burdisso, Crespo, Acquafresca plus a loan of Balotelli and 15 mil cash. The article is from Sportsmediaset via Tuttomercatoweb. The kicker is that it was a done deal, but that Burdisso and Crespo didn’t want to move. I don’t know how reliable Sportsmediaset is, but this seems kinda ridiculous. And scary.
Since this last weekend we are being linked with all sorts: Gargano of Napoli (15 mil), Mesto (Genoa), G Rossi, Remy of Nice (who?), Feghouli (who, what?), Mata and Benzema.
Of course Eto’o and Aguera I am sure you guys know are being linked with us as well.

That should be *Aguero*.

“they came to Ancelotti and at his work, not at his home like they tried with Mourinho” I wonder why that was, conspiracy?
I doubt Adriano is overly popular with his teammates at the mo, what with his prime bit of ass-kissing re Mou’s son. Why didn’t we think of that they’ll be musing enviously. Not so dumb eh.

Does anyone know the possession stats of the derby game?

According to ESPN:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match?id=251424&cc=5901Time of Possession — Inter: 36% . . . AC Milan: 65%

Milan didnt look very good against Bremen but niether did we. They’re a good team especially in attack
According to espn.com the possession was 65-35 in favor of Milan. We brought on Vieira and Nico and sat back the last 20 min. The truth is we should have been up 3 or 4 nil. We were lethal on the counter but Adri and Ibra couldnt get on the same page

HOLD ON!
Do you mean to tell me that Milan, AC MILAN Europe’s “Bestest” team ever, failed to beat Werder Bremen just a few short months after the world gave us hell for doing the same?
Get Out! I don’t believe it. Are you sure?
P.S. Possession is only what you make of it! In that derby Milan is was always going to have the possession. It’s their style where we were defending and then moving quick on the counter! We really should have had 4 goals by the 63rd min! Same Ol’ Poor finishing…

When you decide to play the counter you are conceding possession hoping to draw the attack and midfield forward so that when you do perform a counter, ideally, you get a better percentage shot. Which I think happened, we just didn’t put it away enough – as has been our problem this season. The Milan defense without the shielding of the midfield looked toothless.
But it was a brilliant scheme, dare I say fantastic, if not especially original since Arsenal in the Champions League last year not only killed Milan with it – but made them look really slow and vulnerable.
Bremen plays a lot like Cagliari, I think. They hustle up and down the field and just never stop running. I think that’s why Bremen gave Milan such trouble in the last 30 minutes of the game today, and I think that Cagliari will give Milan trouble this weekend too.

You don’t need much possession if you’re just going to shove the ball into the goal with your hand.

Thr reason I asked is that Mou has always stated it’s part of his playing philosophy to always, always, always
have more possession than the oppo, even if it was Porto playing Real Madrid. I bet those are the worst possession stats he’s had in his career, I doubt it was his intention.Posted from
