Inter Info: 3/5/08

What’s up my dawgs? I ain’t got much to rant and rattle about today, but I thought I’d mention something. The reigning CL champs, Milan, were knocked out of the tourney yesterday, losing to Arsenal 2-0. So, I would like to pass on my condolences. The Roma game is going to start any minute, so I’d like to take this time out to say, FORZA ITALIA!!!! Look, I hate every other team in Serie A besides the Nerazzurri, but when we step outside of Italy we must remain together. As much as it pains me to say this, kick some ass Roma. In other news, what the fuck is wrong with people. This damn rat makes more in a day than most college graduates do in a week. He bites shit, runs over stuff, and then it’s sold for around $3,500. Looks like I’m heading over to the pet store to by myself a rat. Here’s your daily fix. (Or Vincent Van Gogh rat. Enjoy.)

—-> I love to start the day off with some good news. Manico has said it, but Zlatan being in FULL training with the rest of squad confirms it. He will be ready for Liverpool. As for Chivu, he is likely going to play as well. Terrific news. We need Zlatan, well, because he’s Zlatan. We need Chivu, well, because every other defender just falls to the ground and doesn’t get up. Also, we might see Zlatan against Reggina but don’t expect to see Chivu.

—-> Maurizio Zamparini, ‘I want 25 million euro.’ “A Spanish side offered 22million euros, but I refused. For less than 25million euros we will do nothing, but I think an agreement could be close.” The 27 year-old Amauri already has one foot out the door, and is looking for his next club. Many Roma fans have shown interest in the striker, but according to the list in this article, there not one of the teams interested. I’m sure that’s likely to change, especially with the lack of strikers they have. As for us, only time will tell. Zlatan is a lock, Crespo is aging, I’m still unsure about Suazo, and TSB is good. (Forget Fatty.) Do we need him, no. Would it be nice to have him, yes. But not at that price.

—-> Figo wants Quaresma as his replacement. A while back, I reported that Inter had shown some interest in the Porto winger. But nothing had developed since then, until now. Marseille talisman Samir Nasri, Porto’s Quaresma and Schalke’s young Croat Ivan Rakitic were all put before Figo, and he said, “Quaresma, clearly! He is Portuguese like me.” Yeah, maybe it’s a bit biased, but who cares. After carefully thinking about it, what we need is a “high profile” speedy winger. So, I want Quaresma.

—-> Matrix is on a role with these “court” decisions. Yesterday he beat The Daily Star, and today he beat Catania. The Elefanti complained to the FIGC after Matrix played despite withdrawing from Italy’s squad to face Portugal with a bad back only three days earlier. “No unsuitable or ulterior motive influenced the normal flow of play.” Shit, when you’re this hot Matrix, go and slip in McDonalds.

—-> Here’s the training info for today. Some positive notes, Dacourt was seen today, and Zlatan and TSB were both training WITH team-mates for most of the day. As for Chivu, he had some physiotherapy.

—-> (Credit goes to Johonna for this one. I’m to stupid to read, and must of missed this.) The boys cook it up!!! I LOVE it. Everyone needs a little Agrentine feast once and a while. I love the picture where Il Capitano is holding up steaks and the caption says, “Proud of his meat. Inter captain Javier Zanetti.” Yeah, that’s about all I have to say.

It’s a slow news day, and I don’t feel like looking for a good video to post because I want to go and watch the Roma game. Deal with it. OR just go and watch the Roma game. It’s your choice.

Just have to add something else.

For those of you who have been having trouble with comments, it may be my fault. The automatic comment moderator may have “read” your comments and not posted them thinking it was spam. However, I could moderate any comments I want, and forget to check. (Sorry, kirby.)

Won’t happen again guys. I hope.

It may be my infantile sense of humor, but I kind of like the picture at the end captioned:

“Paolo Orlandoni helps himself to some Argentine meat”

snicker. I just cant help it.

Robert, would you even cheer on Juventus if we were in the CL?

My love for Italian teams stops at Inter. Not just because there’s no Italians, but also just because I dislike the team that much.

I would even cheer for Juventus.

And yes, we all know your feelings about Inter. You will not change your mind and I (and I suspect, we) will not change my/our minds, so why do you feel the need to redundantly post your feelings on the subject? You hate Inter… no Italians…. bla bla bla. I think it is great that you comment, but dont you have anything else to write about?

I would definitley (sp?) support Juventus in the CL.

As for the lack of Italians joke, see today’s post. You should have loads of fun with that contest. :)
