3 Points, 2 Games, 1 Scudetto
By: Johonna | May 4th, 2008
Alright. That was pretty horrible. Yikes, now we know how Milan has been feeling for the last few Derbies - not good. Still, it is not the end of the world. True, mistakes were made, but we can and will go on to win the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia.
So, in the words of Il Capitano:
“We won’t lose heart now. We’re looking ahead and we will make our best preparations for the Tim Cup semi-final against Lazio and the game against Siena. We have the chance to play the decisive match of the season in front of our fans.”
Shall we move on?
Wednesday is the match with Lazio. For them it is a must-win: their ticket to Europe next year. We are thinking one more shiny thing would be nice, but not entirely necessary. I think we will use this game to give our younger players some experience. It is true, we now have something to prove, but we also can’t afford anyone else to be injured for the Siena match. Look for some of our Primavera players to feature with the addition of probably Toldo, Jimenez, and Suazo.
The first leg of this match was a real snoozer so we can only go up from there (knock on wood). I will probably do a real preview on Monday night when we know a little more about how training went and possible formations.
Looking even further ahead:
Next Sunday we are home to Siena. They are fresh off their unlikely win against Juve and they certainly wont want to be the team that give us our scudetto twice in a row (last year’s win is pictured here). I think this will be our true test. We may even have Ibra back for a few minutes.
Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, though. A week is almost forever in calcio.
I am a little disappointed with Sampdoria today. Now was Cassano’s chance to really show what Roma was missing. And Fiorentina - What is up with you!?! Still Juve lost so today was not all bad.
Oh, and where the hell was our PK when Bonera dragged Suazo down in the box!!
(deep cleansing breaths - look ahead - peace and light)
Domani, Ragazzi, Ci Sono Sempre Domani.

Andreolli = Roma.
You’ll miss him for a good long while, if he can ever get over getting treated by your medical staff.
Kid is a walking plague.
What did your med staff do to him?

Welcome Johonna, it Johonna right, not Johanna, i see people mistaking it a lot… (or I’m mistaking it, lol — or it’s a typo).
Forza Milan, and we wish for good business like Seedorf and Pirlo for the future. Maybe Balotelli?

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, it is Johonna, with an O. People always get it wrong - it doesnt bother me. Really, 6 out of 7 letters is just fine with me.
Danny-boy is partially right. Andreolli went to Roma as part of the deal that brought us Chivu. We co-own him. See, Roma, we should try to get along - for the sake of the children if nothing else. =0)
And believe me, if I knew what our medical staff did to people, I would FIX IT. Just look at our injured list - it is practically criminal.

I’m celebrating my other team (Real Madrid)’s victory and pretending this derby never happened. *humph* To be honest, I’m a bit nervous about next week as well. Siena has beaten Juve *and* Roma - we simply can’t afford to underestimate them.

brief, i dont think we’re going to underestimate them. everyone knows the importance of this match and everyone will be up for it. lets just hope that mancio decides to do something smart (i know, intelligence is beyond him these days) and plays matrix and chivu in the heart of the defense.

Looking for more PK’s before the end of the season? Ibrahimovic scored at least half a dozen of those just in the first half of the season. Wasn’t that enough?

That was bad. The lineup was horroble and so was the play and coaching. Mawwell should have played LB because he can move forward. Rivas should not have been in the game. Balotelli should have started and why the hell was Maniche in the game?? The guy hasn’t played at all, has shown nothing and you play him in the biggest game?? Maicon showed up and played well as usual but Viera was a joke. He talked all this shit before the game about all of his experience in title clinching games blah blah blah and then gives them the 2nd goal. He f’n gave it to them the clumsy inconsistent bastard. As bad as Inter played, they still deserved the draw. Did anyone see Suazo get raped and pulled down in the box on that corner?? That was a very bad missed penalty call. Anyway I guess Inter wants to make it interesting for everyone else. Forza Inter and look forwarding to capturing the title sometime soon.

Oh and welcome Johonna. It’s not a real welcome because you have been here forever but you know what I mean. Good to see the page up and running again. Keep up the great work and Forza US.

Yes, I want a PK where a PK is due. I cant help it that the only way defenders seem to be able to stop our strikers (especially Suazo and Ibra) is by fouling them. Even Ancelotti knew there should have been a PK given - you could see the relief on his face when it wasn’t. But we are moving on (unlock jaw - deep breaths - inner peace - at one with the universe - focus on scudetto).

what was even more absurd about that play was that moron Rosetti saw it fit to call the foul in favour of Bonera. One of those sometimes its called, sometimes its not things.

Rosetti has been a horrible referee this season. not only in inter matches but in all! worst referee ever in my opinion…
