I think this rule would be great

Fact is, i think most would love to see more italians play for inter …. same with all clubs …. I hate clubs liek chelsea … in reality, Bill Gates could buy rimini, and buy every single top player in the world, and win the Serie A and CL every year ….

So I just read something else about the 4+4 means that you need 4 youth players and 4 players of the teams nationality but I dont think that is true. All the research I did said that the rule was favored because it did not have any nationality quotas.

If someone finds the actual official rule somewhere, I would love to see it. UEFA’s web page has not been helpful yet.

Camoranesi counts for 6+5. It is all about national team eligibility.

If you look you will see that there are always a list of primavera players that went with us to the CL games. As I said, they dont have to play, only be on the roster.

Next year will be the full implementation of the 8 – I think.

It already went into effect? Who has been Inter’s 4+4? I thought it was starting in next year’s uefa competitions.

I think the 4+4 is very reasonable. 6+5 is perhaps pushing it. Milan has 6-7 Italians in their starting XI depending who’s injured, Roma has 3-4, depending if you count Totti. Juve has 6-7, depending if you count Camoranesi.

I would like to see Barzagli at Inter and maybe Inter should take Maggio up on his desire to want to wear the shirt + there is Andreolli. If he ever reaches his potential there is no way Roma could out bid us for his rights if we really want him. There is plenty of home grown talent to go around. Our primavera is pretty stocked and doing very well I might add.

of our current squad that is non Italian, I would like to keep Julio Cesar, Maicon, Cambiasso and Cordoba.

And of course I have already made it very clear that I can never speak of the day with regards to Javier.

Right, so that is 4 players. We would have to field 6. Every game. And not just us, but all the other teams would too. Are there enough now or can there be enough world-quality Italian players to go around?

The competition will be incredible for what really great players are out there.

And I am not saying that Italy doesnt produce great football players (hello – world champions and all), just are there enough to go around?

That, and it wouldnt seem like home without Zanetti. Can we at least keep him and Julio Cesar? Oh and Dacort and Maicon…. See I love them all so much I just cant think about letting them go.

This impending rule is probably the reason that Inter is pushing so hard for Aquilani this summer. I’ve been a huge Inter fan for a long time and LOVE our Argie’s but I don’t think many of us we be upset if in 3 years our team was built around Balotelli, Aquilani, Bobby Freshwater, and a player like Rosina. It’s a win, win.
