this is crespo’s last year under contract with Inter. His contract expires next summer.

Can I please ask you all a question? How long does Crespo’s contract at Inter last?

He had a 5 year contract with Chelsea.. 2 of those years were in London, one at AC Milan and 2 at Inter. I thought his contract expired last summer but I guess it didn’t. I figured maybe this upcoming summer but there are still rumors indicating that he is still under contract at Inter for more than another year.

Half time report: Ibra is on the field for sweden, Quaresma on the bench. Ibra has managed to pick up a yellow and the score is 0 all.

Full time report: match ends 0-0 and both Ibra and Quaresma pick up yellow cards.

Our boy Obinna scored for Nigeria – they beat Sierra Leone 4-1

Chivu is playing for Romania right now (despite his injury), France and Romania are tied 2-2. No Vieira.

Muntari scored for Ghana who beat Lesotho 3-0.

Stankovic played for Serbia and also picked up a yellow. Serbia beat Lithuania 3-0.

Neither Balotelli nor Bolzoni were on the squad for the Italy’s U21 Euro match today against Israel. The game finished in a 0-0 draw. Apparently Balotelli has the flu and has been running a fever for a couple of days.

Zanetti, Cambiasso, and Burdisso played a full 90 against Uruguay today. Argentina won (2-1). I watched the first half and all three were playing excellently. Interestingly, the game finished in a yellow card-fest and half the Argentinian squad ended with yellows. Luckily, our guys were in the half that did not get cards.

Brazilians play this tomorrow.

Rather than consider the, lets face it, completely fabricated speculation of who we would buy this winter, how about considering if we are going to enter the winter market in the first place?

Do we even need to? Is the team, right now, Scudetto/Champions League worthy?

If not us, then who would be in a shopping mood?

Juventus? Roma (can they afford it?)? Napoli? Lazio? Fiorentina?

Do these teams look like they will meet the goals they may have set for the season?

Yeah, that’s funny in a horrifying way. You move to the continent to get away, and guess who follows. I doubt he’d move to Milan either, god knows they have enough aging players in the squad. One of the best goalscorers in the world no doubt, and he’s always succeeded in Italy, so I hope he stays here.

And more gossip just in: It seems our young Balotelli has been seen about town with one Costanza Caracciolo, one of the new veline on Striscia la Notizia (of golden tapir fame).
