It’s all legal posturing on both sides, though I agree that the reference to the wiretaps was classless and unnecessary. Inter are trying to establish at least some basis for terminating Mancini “for cause” (in which case they are not contractually bound to pay him the amount due on the rest of his contract), while he is of course taking the opposite tack. These things happen when 30 million euro are at stake. It will be a soap opera for a while, but it will eventually be settled.

BTW, Mourinho is reported at having been especially impressed with Maicon (and Zanetti and Cambiasso) in the months he’s spent studying the team. He’s not going anywhere; Dejan may well be a different story for obvious reasons.

agreed alessio. very classless, but maybe necessary?. i was quite surprised when i read that statement. USUALLY they say something nice about the coach. maybe moratti forgot how to sack someone nice? maybe…

honestly i dont think that mancini will win the court case if it goes that far. but who am i to say that…

as to going back to seeing 1.2 coaches a season, i dont think that will happen. moratti is not an idiot as we make him out to be. and i dont think he will sack jose. but again, who am i to say what someone else will do.

ill agree kirby but it was classless as hell for the club to bring that up in the statement. they could have easily omitted it with no difference. horrible way to end it. it should have been “we thank roberto mancini for leading us to 0, 1, 2, or 3 scudetti (depending on how you look at it) and wish him the best in the future.” it was just unbelievably stupid.

will we see the old inter that has 1.2 coaches per season?

he lost the dressing room after the liverpool match with his stupid outburst. he cannot blame inter for sighting that as the reason he was sacked. i cannot believe he is even thinking about suing the club for “defamation of character” when it is him who fucked up his chances of staying. at this point i am happy for his departure. i thank him for all the wonderful work he has does and the stability he brought with his 4 years in charge(ie he stopped the managerial mary-go-round).

as you all are, i am. completely at ease with the managerial change. but who you think we may lose if mancini takes over at chelsea. because you know he’ll want to bring his favourites with him. dejan? maicon? maxwell? dejan’s poor performances has sealed his fate in my mind. i would hate to lose those wing backs. i love them both. max or than mai =P

i guess we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks.
