Goodbye Manico, Hello Mourinho

Inter(0)-Liverpool(1): Liverpool Advance

mourinho.jpg If you read this page with any consistency, you probably know that this is the spot where I basically “sum up” the game. Ya’ know, give you a bit of a recap, and let you know you know what I thought of certain situations. But, in light of today’s loss, and Manico’s moments of sheer brilliance, I have something a little different in store for you. Enclosed is a letter, to Mancini. What’s in it? You’ll just have to read on to find out.

Dear Mancio,

Hello, how are you? I would guess terrible after that thumping your team just received due to your tactical moves. Or should I say, lack there of. I am in a “heated” state right now, so if I make fun of your mother, grandmother, dead relative, pet, dead pet, or any ongoing diseases you might have, please don’t take it seriously. But, everything I say about your coaching decisions, I mean. So take that VERY seriously.

My growing, and secret, hate for you didn’t just start today. It has been brewing for a while now, and stems all the way back to the start of the games after the winter break. I don’t know why, but some of the moves you were making just got under my skin. But, I kept quite, and left you alone. Then, I almost blew a casket in the Roma game. Remember, when you made our final sub in the 65th minute? I kept my composure though, and blamed it on a “heavy trigger finger” to cover your ass. Today was your chance to redeem yourself. Get the W today, and all is forgotten. For some odd reason, it seemed as if you didn’t know what the situation was, and did the opposite.

Just to remind you, we came into that game 2 goals down. But you insist on fielding a lineup that consists of Vieira. It wasn’t that you played him, it was where you put him. Same with Dejan. What the fuck were you thinking? Seriously, did you snort cocaine with Talentino before picking that lineup? (So that’s really why he was there) Or did you just throw names down the steps and play them where ever they landed? Why was Vieira on the wing? That French bitch snuffed you, and you start him. The fucking man is 40 years old and seems to need a new hip. It looked like you were trying to achieve the Christmas tree formation. Did you ever give Jimmy a thought? Considering that’s where he plays best, it’s just a suggestion. You must have some sort of memory disorder, because you played a defensive style formation when we needed 2 goals.

Ah, now let’s get to your terrific substitute endeavors. Against Roma you we’re playing Russian Roulette when you didn’t have to, and today you didn’t play when you should of. What the fuck is wrong with you? You’re FIRST sub was in the 76th minute, Vieira for Pele. It took you 76 minutes to see that Vieira couldn’t cut it? It took 76 minutes for you to realize he was losing EVERY ball and killing our midfield? My, what a tacticin you turned out to be. Next sub, Zlatan for Suazo. Holy Shit. We need goals, so take off our leading goal scorer. The final sub, Jimmy for Dejan. A little late for Jimmy to do much of anything, don’t you think?

It’s nice to see you’ve saved yourself the embarrassment of being fired, by stepping down. So you’re going to put your priorities ahead of the team? A true professional doesn’t make an announcement so abrupt in the fashion you did. Classless piece of shit. I’m not sure how much more you could fuck things up, but we still have a Scudetto to win. And with you holding the reigns, I don’t feel too comfortable. You’ve been given millions and millions to spend, and you’ve failed us time and time again. I think I speak for all Nerazzurri fans, when I say, thanks for nothing.

From,
Robert
Theoffside.com-Inter Milan

I’m not going to do the usual goals, cards, substitutes, and ratings shit. I think I’ve said enough. However, I would like to add a few things. First, this is good team. Actually their a great team. But when you have a coach that is tactically retarded, it’s very hard to compete with the best of Europe. Second, we did have our flurry of chances, just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Finally, Il Capitano may just be the greatest Nerazzurri ever, Rivas is better than I thought, Figo hates Manico as well, Moratti is probably beating his dog right now, and Vieira will always be a piece of shit.

Ciao.

Oh, and,

SEMPRE INTER!!!!
SEMPRE ITALIA!!!!!!
FUCK MANCINI!!!!

P.S.- I can’t believe I’m saying this, but…….good luck Roma. I hope you can bring the pride to Italy that Manico has lost for us. Oh, and forza Fiorentina.

sorry to disappoint everyone but we are not in crisis. im sure mancini and the lazio contingent in our squad will want to end their stint here on a high by winning the double.

maybe mancini deserves another year. If mourinho should take over, i doubt we’ll see balotelli or any young prospect playing for the senior squad next year.

    Guys,

Shit happens … Criticize Mancini all you want, but he’s been a solid Inter coach. Managing talent is not as easy as some of you make it out to be. Also, listen to Mancini’s post game comments carefully. His players already knew he was leaving, so the fact that he makes it public after the game pisses off fans but it probably does nothing to the players themselves, which really is all that matters. One last thing: in order to be at the top of the Serie A and win the Champions, all the stars have to line up (I’m no statistician, but I’m guessing the odds are ~0.000001). Being undefeated in league play until a couple of weeks ago took a lot out of these players (ask the Patriots about trying to pull that stunt). I was at San Siro for the season opener against Udinese and saw this team play with ten men for a good portion of the second half and completely dominate Udinese, though Udinese got lucky in the last few minutes of play and tied the game. Same thing with the first game against Liverpool; those fuckers were only able to score a goal against our 10-player squad at the very end of the game, and unfortunately got an impossible goal from Gerrard in the last second that really killed our Champions hopes. Anyway, we still have a fucking Scudetto to win. Let’s not be bitches about this loss and let’s wear our black and blue with pride! If Mancini wants to leave, so be it…

im speaking for most of us romanisti by saying that it is only a few jackasses who are going onto other blogs and raising trouble. i see it as pointless and classless really.

but on mancini, i really feel for you guys. you are going through a rough patch, and this is the worst timing that he could have to announce something of this magnitude. i shudder to think what would happen to roma if, god forbid, spaletti did that to us.

Nico - fair point but I don’t think his players knew he was leaving! I think he just felt the pressure and wanted to say that. They asked Cambiasso about it and he didn’t know what the hell they were talking about

Oh god, not mourhino. He will just bring back fatty. And to boot, there is a rumor on another board I read (really, it doesnt mean anything, it is you I love) that Figo refused to go on as a second half sub. I cannot substantiate, though. Anyone, have you heard/read this?

So, after cruising around the web and reading some stuff, I have to say that if we now loose the scudetto, we dont deserve it. Simple as that. If players really are refusing substitutions and Ibra has lost what ever marbles he has, well then we are just a bunch of whiny sissy-pants.

My god, these players all have an incredible talent that they are fortunate enough to get paid a gazillion dollars (or euros) to exercise. Now the big test will be Palermo. Sure, we lost and it sucks, really REALLY sucks, but come on! This is the fucking Serie A, not some little league game.

So I say to Inter: lets go out there on Sunday like we have a pair and play play PLAY! Lets show Italy and the world what we can do. No more of this “we were unlucky” shit. Kick some ASS.

Oooo, I do feel better now.

Shame. Mancini was a decent coach, despite some questionable substitutions. You shouldn’t rage on him so much.

And Johonna, yes, that’s the truth. It’s not certain why he refused to go yet, but he definitely wouldn’t. I don’t like Inter, or most of its players (J. Zanetti is a classy individual) but Figo is just an ass.

Too conservative against the world’s best European cup team. Better luck next year.

yes, Zanetti is dreamy. See, now I know Figo is probably an ass personality-wise, but until his leg was broken he had those sweet dead-ball skills. Plus, he always made sure the wall was the requisite distance. Plus, he was freakin world player of the year.

I’m not going to defend Mancini’s tactics from last night, but Robert saying “I think I speak for all Nerazzurri fans, when I say, thanks for nothing” is certainly going too far. This Nerazurri fan for one is grateful to him for finally bringing us the Scudetto.
Let’s also not forget that our top THREE center backs were all out and a number of first team players were just returning from injury. In my reading of the two legs, the teams were about equal, we got unlucky, and that’s football.
    Forza Inter. Thank you Mancini.

Mourinho hopefully equals Drogba and no Cruz or Suazo. Mourinho hopefully equals someone that can really make some smart moves like not playing Viera for christ sake. Viera and Stankovic were hurt during the period when Inter were tearing shit up. Ever since they came back and took the playing time away from Jimmy etc we have looked like shit. Fuck you Mancini for the timing of all of this and all your bad decsisions. And the crazy thing about this is we are 6 points up in the league and Roma has a difficult game against Milan this weekened. It is all just fuckinn crazy.

Robert: We have talked about Burdisso getting kicked out of games before, and here we go again. Burdisso plays with a lot of heart, I will give him that but he is the clumsiest tackler of all time. Fuck you Burdisso for the dagger. I repeat..Fuck you Burdisso. Mancini should have took your ass out once you got your first yellow, because even I knew the second one was coming. I still love ya though Inter.

Forza US this weekend and the rest of the way. Let’s win Serie A despite all this bullshit.

Look, I congratulate Manico on everything he’s done for us, but his time is up. The domestic success is terrific, but I want Euro glory. So does Moratti.

Maybe I was a bit harsh yesterday, due to the heat of the moment, but I still feel he needs to go and Mourinho needs to come in.

    FORZA INTER!!!!!

You can get Euro glory when your defense and midfield aren’t completely ravaged.

If you bring in Mourinho, it’s only going to perpetuate Inter’s complete lack of Italianness.

And yes, I would consider you to be in a crisis, masoneria. Losing your coach, huge conflict in the dressing room (Ibra, Matrix, Figo, Vieira) and 1 win in the last 5-6 games. I don’t think Inter’s going to collapse, but of the last 3-4 years for Inter, this is probably the worst situation.

I blame Ibra. He under performed in both games and unlike diving boy did not take his chances when they were presented to him. I hope Torres can see sense and leave Liverpool and we can offload Ibra to Real. Torres is a better goalscorer. A lot of Ibra’s goals are penalties. Forza Inter
