While I admit that taking the scudetto to the very last game adds to the drama, I would have preferred victory over Siena.

Earlier in the season it did feel more like a cohesive team. Perhaps the lack of cohesion is caused by all the injuries. I don’t know if Suazo will ever get used to playing with other strikers.

BTW–I like Siena but Manniger is now on my enemies list

Chivu is definitely out for Sunday… it’ll probably be Matrix/Burdisso at the back. In midfield, I would imagine Mancini will start Stankovic if at all possible. The papers seem to think that he’s going to be ready…

I’m sure this is going to be an unpopular opinion but if we’re going to use a flat midfield again, I’d rather leave Jimenez on the bench and use Cesar, at least that would allow Maxwell to push all the way forward on the left. We’ll probably go with a diamond, though, with Jimenez up top, JZ on the bottom, Vieira on the right and Stankovic on the left…

And midfield: Cambiasso is out, so Zanetti, Vieira, (one more), and Jimenez. Sticking with the Mater/Burdi defense, I guess Chivu (if fit) will take the spot. I really hope it’s not Maniche. Pele would be interesting. Perhaps Dejan – does anyone have news on his injury?

Do you guys think Materazzi will start on Sunday? I’ve been bitching about him for a few weeks now and of course the Siena game was horrific, but I think Mancini will be too scared to start with a Burdisso/Chivu or even Rivas/Chivu. I hope he doesn’t do the AcMilan thing and bench Maxwell. I would say he’s the most underrated player on our team right now. Personally I like the idea of Rivas/Chivu, but I think Mancini will be “cautious” and stick with Materazzi/Burdisso. What do you guys think?
