Aguero’s too raw…….but I think Motta will succeed for Inter. He was wonderful last season.

Gah, I hate Cheap Trick… thanks a lot Johonna.
If Ibra had said something really insulting, then no, I don’t think that the locker room would take him back.
But just for saying that he’s thinking about moving, I don’t see that as a problem – after all, many of them are in that locker room because they thought about moving from one club to another. If this were last year, under Mancini, I think this would have been a bigger problem. With Mourinho, I think the team is more secure.
Anhoo, some transfer hoodoo -
I am going to skip the Ibra stuff, since most of that is made up paper talk anyway – at this point, I doubt he’s going to leave to go to Barcelona.
More Yaya talk – which is good news anyway you interpret that
This time, it’s Yaya for Maxwell as Barca apparently need help with their back four and have surplus midfielders. There were rumors of Maxwell to Juventus and Milan but I was laughing too hard to finish them.
Santon gets an extension and pay bump.
Quaresma is somehow fucking up the Milito and Motta deal. He doesn’t want to go to Genoa – which I thought was part of a separate deal.
And somehow that deal needing resolution (Obinna, perhaps?) has stopped the Carvalho loan temporarily. Here’s an idea, why don’t we give Mei or someone from the primavera a shot?
Galloppa’s agent has come out in an interview and told Inter that they can have Galloppa whenever they want him.
In related news, there is a Spanish newspaper that has said that Inter is interested in G. Rossi.

I would shit myself if we got G. Rossi. but it’s not going to happen.

I wonder if Sweden likely out of WC2010 will provoke Ibra to leave even moreso. The Ballon d’Or winner next year, let’s be honest, is probably going to be the star of the World Cup. The only thing that would rival that is domestic and European glory, which I’m not sure Ibra thinks Inter can attain.

The only thing that would rival that is domestic and European glory, which I’m not sure Ibra thinks Inter can attain.
Especially given that he is our star striker and couldn’t seem to score a goal in the CL last season to save his life. Really, if he wants CL glory, he has to earn it. If he had actually finished during either of those Man U games, I would be a whole lot less angry about this whole mess.

It’s not only what he says it’s his actions as well. During those last few games he was being a huge asshole towards his teamates whenever they scored (remember the last Muntari goal how pist he looked?). It’s things like that that make the lockroom tense.

Word is, he sent everyone on the squad expensive gifts at the end of the season as a thank you for helping him get his golden boot.

My personal gut feeling is that the locker room would, at this point, rather have him than not have him. Just one my personal opinion.
Although, Santon had a nice quote on the subject – I’m paraphrasing here, but it was to the effect that if he’s going to be a “Yaya” about it, he should probably go.:)
I also think that if Sweden don’t make WC qualification, then his value would decrease. That is, fewer teams would be likely to spend money for him as is marketability and prestige would take a hit.
It also might make him play harder…

P.s. this from Lippi:
“We want to perform a few experiments against New Zealand. I can confirm that Giuseppe Rossi and Davide Santon will feature, Rossi from the start.”

honestly if you get rid of ibra, inter will be in deep shit.he scores and assists and you can’t get anyone else to replace him especially with all serie a teams and ucl teams improving. keep him at all costs because milito (and motta) has been known to get injured at bad times and with inter any injury would be at a bad time. you guys ought to get an AM or two to replace the likes stankovic. I see David Silva doing perfectly.

The Italy U21 squad won the friendly against Denmark today. The score ended 4-0 with goals from both Balotelli and Acquafresca. Good job!

Well, Quaresma will not be going to Genoa. He wants only Inter and would not agree to the deal. According to Preziosi:
“Thier [Milito and Motta] transfer has already been decided. In exchange we will receive Bonucci, Bolzoni, Fatic and half of Meggiorini’s contract.”
That sucks eggs! I can’t believe we gave up Bolzoni and Fatic! Quaresma better get his act together – he better make it all worth it.

Are those loans, half contracts or full transfers?
And what about Acquafresca?

I feel like Serie A is being robbed of its players. And it upsets me when teams like chelsea and man city can buy whatever players they want because of their billionaire owners.

I don’t think that Acquafreca is part of the Genoa deal anymore…

sweet. i like that deal much better than involving bobby. bolzoni should be good but i dont think he will be as good as acquafresca. i dont know too much about the others.

MAD, I have no idea. Here is what Bobby’s agent said on the 6th:
ROME, June 6 – Robert Acquafresca will play next season with Atalanta or with Parma. Are “more concrete hypotheses,” as he defined his prosecutor, Paolo Fabbri, interviewed by calciomercatonews.com. “There are several teams interested in Robert – he said – the assumptions are more concrete but Atalanta and Parma. But it is still early to talk about it, we must first define the transition from Inter to Genoa. “Which would imply that Bobby is not part of the Genoa deal any more.
Who knows.

La Gazzetta says that Parma want both Acquafresca and Jimenez.

Actually, I hope Inter have not given up Bolzoni entirely, and are just sending him on a co-ownership deal. From what little I’ve seen of him, he’s a cool headed player, knows how to throw in a good tackle, and has the kind of tactical awareness that Cambiasso does. He was also the Primavera captain before he started training with the first team. The only reason he hasn’t played this season is because he’s been suffering from a long term injury, for which he got surgery done recently.

Completely off the subject, but some of you remember our good friend Recoba?
He’s renewing with the greek club that he now plays for, Panionios. He made 21 apps last season and 7 goals.

Wow. Did he start to give a damn?

Not only that but he played 21 games in one season!

…which he did 3 times for Inter in the 8ish years that he was here, just to give a sense of perspective.
