I think we might see Figo on Wednesday...just to give Mancini/Quaresma (can't wait to see them run at Milan's defense!) some rest. I watched the first 20 minutes or so of the 2nd half of Milan-Lazio...going forward they looked pretty damn good but Lazio had some great chances of their own.

This week will feel like forever!! Thank god for the midweek game.

Forza Inter.

Man, I am totally looking ahead to Milan. I shouldn't admit it, but it's hard to look at Lecce when the hallway rival is fast approaching.

I hope we don't suffer a let down to Lecce (we are home, right?). I have read that we are going to rest people like Ibra, Mancini and Cambiasso.

On a completely different tact, I read that Suazo is already missing time for injury.

Inter's wingers (Mancini, Figo, Quaresma) v. Milan's fullbacks.....we all know Zambrotta loves to go forward but he often neglects his defensive duties in doing so. That will be an interesting combo.

I think the best way to play us (Milan) is to counter us to death.
We can't run back on "D" as fast as needed to effectively stop any counter. (see the Genoa & Bologna games)
Maldini is super slow now and is liability. Without Nesta in the back we're like a sieve.
But if we're clicking like we were yesterday on offense...we can afford to let in a couple of goals and still come out with 3 points.

This derby will be interesting because of the midfield attack of Milan. Without Muntari, we are going to be limited, I think, pressing as high up the field as effectively as Mourinho wants.

Plus, using Mancini and Quaresma as outside wings pus Maxwell and Maicon (assuming thats the lineup) acting like wings anyway-- we may have to temper our attack coming out of the back of the outside to help defend against Zambrotta (you know he's coming forward) / Kaka / Dinho / Seedorf / Boriello.

We are going to need to bust our humps getting up the field and attack the "Silver Horde" in Milan's defense and get the hell back on defense against those named above.

If we can keep it from being an end to end affair-- I think that their midfield works best moving forward creating at speed, and rough them up enough where they are uncomfortably twitchy, I think we will have a good shot.

I like our defense and forwards against their defense and forwards. Their midfield is better than ours, though.
