Actually I did know that, alessio, from my own college days. By the way, my partner and I would finance our school lunches on Euchre, we were so good/so poor.

Having lived in Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Cleveland for far longer than any human should, I would have to say that I partially agree (my brother in law very much agrees with you, but he likes Cleveland) about the midwest thing.

Buffalo is definitely 100% no questions asked midwest rustbelt no doubt. If you lived in the outskirts of Monroe county (where Rochester is), I would agree with you there, too.

But I would say that living in the Rochester area almost makes you forget about being thisclose to the midwest and Syracuse…

is our midfield. And since there are only 3, I bet Chivu finds his way up there again. That makes me very very nervous.

Yessir…only 30% of the school are from the South, people from the Northeast actually outnumber them and then of course there’s a significant amount of people from out West. The strange thing is I’ve learned, MAD, is Rochester is far more mid-Western than it is Northeast. Can you believe people from NYC have never heard of euchre?

Ugh. I live among those people, I think that’s a bit harsh of a comparison. One is a matter of life and death, the other is arguing about a 140 year old war that we (that’s right, we) won.

Alessio is one of my favourite people on the entire site, but on this particular subject he has always reminded me of one of those guys who is still trying to re-fight the Civil War (or rather the War Between The States). I tend to read those posts of his with a drawl.

I’ve said this before, but I think we would have to leave the country if they ever got the third star. It would be intolerable for a long time.
