i like burdisso.
seeing figo, cruz, adriano, crespo, recoba and now maxwell leave in the space of a year(?) i don’t think i could take another one leaving whos been at inter so long.
who’s next…cordoba? materazzi? Zanetti?
i wouldn’t even be surprised.

Barindera, I believe that Zanetti would probably continue in midfield, while Santon will make his big splash this season. I’m almost certain he’s the reason we let Maxwell go without much of a fight. Other than the fact that Max’s contract was expiring…

Hi guys, My opinon on why we let Maxwell go, is because yes he is in the final year of his contract plus he is not a very smart defensive minded defender. Mourinho saw this last year. I think what this move, it will allow for us to play captain Zanetti at right or left back as a back up on the depth chart(plus Chivu is also capable of playing that position, as he will be fighting for playing time with Samuel and Cordoba in central defence) Now if we ever need Zanetti to play left or right back it will allow another one of our midfielders to get more playing time. Because we know with Zanetti Cambiasso Quaresma Muntari and now Motta we have some depth at that position, and maybe we might even add that creative midfielder we having been needing forever!

In my opinon we now need to…
Offload: Viera, Obina, Burdisso Rivas and Mancini.
Add: A big central defender and yes that creative midfielder.

5 more players out 2 in. That should leave us with 25 players I believe.

Im pretty sure the price was so low because he was in the last year of his deal. Why would Barca pay a lot now when they can get him for free next year? I bet a bunch of clubs were interested but Maxwell just chose Barca

haha of course not…i was thinking we maybe had 10mn already and now the extra 4.5 or 5, as well as freed up salary, will make it possible. to be honest i don’t think either hamsik or ladesma will come.

i really hope someone is coming, but i don’t want it to be a quaresma-like situation (if the lateness really was the reason for his terrible form).

I’m quite upset by Maxwell’s departure…just think it’s too soon to make Santon the permanent starter. Also, we now need some fullback backup. The Barca players I would want are the not-for-sale ones. But on the other hand if this helps us budget for Ladesma or Hamsik I would be happy.

Busquets is not a regular starter, The Yaya is. Busquets gets his fair amount of games, though. Hopefully, there will more light shed on this deal tomorrow.

THE YAYA as we Culés call him is a monster covetted by oh so many teams. He is great and a no question about it starter. No way know how would we sell him rght now definately not for Maxwell. Thanks for the player though. I think what brought his price down was the rumours that The special one was not too fond of him, couple that and the fact that he had a serious injury and in the last year of his contract makes it seem lie a good buy for Barça. If you guys are wanting to offload Ibra we will gve you Eto’o + Hleb plus 15 mil.
